湖南躍宇機電有限公司為配合湖南兵器集團軍品IPO上市工作，為原湖南兵器躍進機電有限公司進行了“軍民分立”改制，于2020年1月3日注冊成立新的湖南躍宇機電有限公司。躍宇公司現隸尾于湖南省國資委管理的湖南湘科控股集團有限公司下屬一級子公司湖南新天地投資控股集團有限公司，是具有獨立法人資格專業從事三相盤式制動異步電機、盤式變壓器油泵及低噪聲變壓器風機的國有獨資企業。
